Elden Ring Nightreign Player Discovers There's a Maximum Number of Relics You Can Store

Relics are powerful items that provide a significant boost to your Nightfarer during every run of Elden Ring Nightreign. As it turns out, there is also a cap on how many you can store in your hideaway at once.

A user on the r/Nightreign subreddit shared an image from their game today, showing a notification while attempting to start an expedition: "Cannot launch expedition: Too many relics in possession." The message advises players to "Please use the relic rite menu to sell off spares."

While it’s easy to assume this ties into a standard 999-item limit, the actual threshold remains unclear unless you plan on grinding out that many relics.

There are several reasons to clear your relic storage, primarily for resources. However, if you’re just playing run after run in Elden Ring Nightreign, it’s easy to lose track of how many you’ve accumulated.

Comments in the thread highlighted an ongoing critique of Elden Ring Nightreign: the need for better relic management. As more relics flood your inventory, keeping track of what’s what can become difficult, suggesting a need for additional filters to help sift through the pile.

This is already a bit of a hassle for me, given my decent stockpile of basic relics. I can’t imagine the situation for this Redditor with their apparent hundreds upon hundreds of items. While this might not be an issue for most players right now, it could become relevant as weeks and months pass in Nightreign. At the very least, it’s a good reminder to periodically clean out your unused relics.
