EA Play to Remove 2 Games in February 2025
Summary
- Two games are scheduled to leave EA Play in February 2025.
- Madden NFL 23 will depart on February 15, while F1 22 will exit on February 28.
- Additionally, the online services for UFC 3 will be discontinued on February 17.
Attention all EA Play subscribers: mark your calendars for February 2025, as two popular titles are set to leave the service. EA Play, EA's premier subscription service, offers its members a host of benefits, including free trials, full game access, and more. You can subscribe to EA Play independently, or enjoy it as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
One of the key attractions of EA Play is its extensive library, featuring a mix of classic hits and the latest releases from EA. However, like other subscription services, EA Play periodically updates its lineup, which means some games will eventually be removed. Unfortunately, February 2025 marks the departure of two such titles.
EA has confirmed that Madden NFL 23 will be removed from EA Play on February 15, followed by F1 22 on February 28. It's important to note that while these games are leaving the EA Play lineup, their online multiplayer features will not immediately shut down. Nevertheless, their removal from the service means that EA Play subscribers should make the most of these titles while they still can.
List of Games Leaving EA Play Soon
- Madden NFL 23 - February 15
- F1 22 - February 28
In addition to these removals, February 2025 brings more challenging news for EA fans: the online services for UFC 3 will cease on February 17. While it's not yet clear whether UFC 3 will remain available on EA Play after this date, the loss of its online features is a significant blow. Therefore, EA Play subscribers might want to prioritize their time with UFC 3 before its online services end.
The departure of these EA titles from the EA Play lineup is undoubtedly disappointing. However, there's a silver lining: newer iterations of these games will still be accessible through the service. After February, subscribers can continue to enjoy Madden NFL 24, F1 23, and UFC 4. What's more, UFC 5 is set to join the EA Play lineup on January 14. So, while it's always tough to see beloved games leave, the availability of newer franchise entries should help ease the transition.
