"Deltarune Unveils Exclusive Switch 2 Feature in Secret Room"

Deltarune is gearing up for an exciting release on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, promising exclusive features that enhance the gaming experience. Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, Deltarune will include chapters 3 and 4, and introduce unique elements tailored specifically for the next-gen console.

Special Room and More Exclusively for Switch 2

One of the highlights of Deltarune's Switch 2 version is the inclusion of a special room that leverages the advanced mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Toby Fox, the game's developer, shared in a Fangamer newsletter, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!" This innovative feature aims to provide a unique gameplay experience exclusive to the Switch 2.

For players with older Switch models, this special room will still be accessible but will require a different control scheme. Additionally, fans can seamlessly import their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 to the new version, ensuring continuity in their gaming journey.

Deltarune Future Chapters Will Be Free

Toby Fox also confirmed the pricing for Deltarune, set at $24.99, which will include Chapters 1 through 4. Initially released in 2018 and 2021, Chapters 1 and 2 were free, with the announcement that future chapters (3-5) would be paid content. However, in a delightful turn of events, Fox announced that upcoming chapters will be added as free updates. He expressed, "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal."

Furthermore, the game's soundtrack will be available on Steam for $14.99, with over 150 songs included in the release of Chapters 3 and 4. Future songs will also be added for free, ensuring that fans get a comprehensive and value-packed experience.

Deltarune Chapters 1-4 are set to launch on June 5, 2025, coinciding with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
