Facing the Congalala requires constant movement due to its large size and agility. Position yourself to avoid its frontal and rear breath attacks, which are particularly potent. Be wary of its smashing attacks with its hands, tail whips, and ranged breath attacks. Focus your attacks on its breakable parts, starting with the forelegs, which are more accessible and leave the beast vulnerable momentarily.
For the head, tail, and rear, timing is key. Wait for the Congalala to consume a mushroom, then strike when it expels gas from either end. If affected by its breath, use deodorant or roll through water to cleanse yourself. Capitalize on any wounds you inflict by using Focus Mode and Focus Strikes to deliver significant damage, effectively halting its attacks.
