Initially slated for a 2025 launch, Undead Labs, the game's developer, appears to have revised their timeline. Corden assures fans that development is significantly further along than publicly perceived, although specifics remain undisclosed.

While this news may disappoint some, it's a more positive outlook than previous speculation suggesting a 2027 release. The June 2024 trailer offered a glimpse into the game's Mad Max-inspired post-apocalyptic setting, featuring intense zombie gunfights and vehicular combat.

State of Decay 3, set years after the initial apocalypse, challenges players to establish and defend thriving settlements against relentless undead hordes. The game is destined for PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles, marking a significant gap since its predecessor's 2018 launch.
