Cyberpunk 2077 is Getting Another Final

Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red is not done just yet. The studio has confirmed that the game will receive another major update later this month. Find out what’s included in the new patch and whether it’s truly the last one.

Cyberpunk 2077 Devs Not Done Yet

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 Coming on June 26

CD Projekt Red (CDPR) continues to support *Cyberpunk 2077*, with a new patch set to arrive soon. During the studio’s REDstreams event on June 5, developers announced that Patch 2.3 will launch on June 26. More details will be revealed during a dedicated livestream prior to release.

CDPR’s Global Community Director, Marcin Momot, confirmed the news via Twitter (X) on June 5, encouraging fans to stay tuned for more updates. Pawel Sasko, CDPR Associate Game Director, retweeted the post on June 6, hinting that the team has been working on this patch quietly for some time and will share more once it’s ready.

Is It Really the Last Update?

Cyberpunk 2077 is Getting Another Final

CDPR has labeled several updates as the "final" patch for Cyberpunk 2077, but this one might actually be the last. With the studio shifting focus to Cyberpunk 2, Patch 2.3 could mark the end of regular content updates for the current game. During the latest REDstreams, developers humorously noted that previous "final" updates weren’t so final after all.

Originally, Patch 2.1 was touted as the last major update, coinciding with the release of the Ultimate Edition in December 2023. Then, in December 2024, CDPR released Patch 2.2 in collaboration with Virtuos, adding more customization features—surprising fans who believed the game had reached its conclusion.

This pattern isn't unique to Cyberpunk 2077. A similar trend was seen with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. After stating that Patch 4.0 was the final update in December 2022, CDPR released another major update with Patch 4.04 in July 2023.

Recently, CDPR confirmed that The Witcher 3 will receive one final patch in 2025 to celebrate its 10th Anniversary. This update will introduce cross-platform mod support, allowing players to share and enjoy mods across systems.

With Cyberpunk 2 now in pre-production and a new tech demo for The Witcher 4 revealed, it’s likely that CDPR will treat Patch 2.3 as the true final update for Cyberpunk 2077. For now, fans can enjoy the game on Nintendo's latest handheld console.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition launched on the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. The edition includes the full base game, all post-launch updates, and the acclaimed Phantom Liberty expansion. For the latest news and updates, keep an eye on our coverage [ttpp].
