Crashlands 2 Update 1.1 Restores Compendium
Crashlands 2 has just received a major update today—version 1.1. Developed by Butterscotch Shenanigans, this update brings a variety of new features and long-requested improvements from fans of the original Crashlands.
What’s New in Crashlands 2 Update 1.1?
The highlight of this patch is the arrival of Legend Mode, a difficulty level even tougher than Challenge Mode. In Legend Mode, enemies on Woanope are faster, stronger, and pack more HP. Even Flux Dabes feels more fragile, raising the stakes for players seeking an intense challenge.
While there are no additional achievements for completing Legend Mode, successfully finishing it will automatically unlock all lower-difficulty achievements—making it a rewarding one-time push for hardcore players.
For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, Explorer Mode debuts as the polar opposite. This mode significantly reduces combat intensity, letting you focus on story progression, base decoration, and enjoying the quirky charm of Crashlands 2's characters. Farming mushrooms, building cozy shelters, or catching fish without danger? It's all possible now.
One of the most welcomed returns is The Compendium—a feature that keeps track of everything Flux discovers during gameplay. It meticulously logs progress on pets, recipes, and collectible items, helping players chase completionist goals with ease. The development team clearly listened to community feedback by reintroducing this essential system.
Pets Get a Boost
In Update 1.1, pets are no longer just companions—they actively assist in battle. Each pet now comes equipped with a unique ability that can be used once every 20 seconds, adding a fresh layer of strategy to combat dynamics.
Gear crafting also sees notable enhancements. Armor now rolls with randomized bonus stats upon creation, offering more build diversity. Additionally, a wide array of new gadgets, weapons, and trinkets have been added to expand your arsenal.
Quality-of-Life Enhancements
This update delivers several quality-of-life changes across the board:
- Expanded building options allow placement on more terrain types.
- Players can now customize the location of their home teleporter.
- Adjustable night darkness settings improve visibility and immersion.
Where to Download Crashlands 2
You can grab the latest version of Crashlands 2 directly from the Google Play Store. The game originally launched on April 10th, and this substantial 1.1 update shows that the developers are committed to refining the experience based on player input.
