Crashlands 2 makes major adjustments and adds new Legend Mode
A month after its release, Crashlands 2 has continued to captivate both critics and players alike. Developer Butterscotch Shenanigans, far from resting on their laurels, has just rolled out a significant update that introduces a challenging new Legends Mode for seasoned players, alongside a more relaxed Explorer Mode for those who prefer a gentler pace.
Legends Mode cranks up the difficulty, making encounters with aliens and flora even more intense, while Flux Dabes becomes noticeably more vulnerable. On the other hand, Explorer Mode offers a laid-back alternative, perfect for players who wish to enjoy the game at a leisurely pace, perhaps focusing on fishing or other non-combat activities.
In response to player feedback regarding the original Crashlands, Butterscotch Shenanigans has reintroduced the Compendium. This feature allows players to track their discoveries and monitor their progress toward uncovering every item in the game.
WardogsThe update also transforms companion pets into fully combat-capable allies, enhancing their role beyond mere aesthetics. Additionally, crafted armor now comes with random bonuses, echoing a beloved feature from the first game.
For players who found the initial stages of Crashlands 2 too lengthy, the update addresses this concern by introducing new weapons, gadgets, and trinkets right from the start. This allows players to dive into the game's full range of experiences much earlier.
Further enhancements include adjustable nighttime darkness, expanded worldspace for building, and the addition of home teleporters, all of which enrich the gameplay experience.
