2016 Clue Characters Added in Mobile Update

Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital edition of Clue, also known as Cluedo. If you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery board game, you'll be thrilled to learn you can now embody the iconic characters from that particular version.

Meet the 2016 Clue (Cluedo) Suspects

The lineup features Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This new pack focuses exclusively on these characters. You aren't restricted to a specific crime scene or case details, allowing you to place any suspect into your chosen scenario.

The update gives you the freedom to choose your nostalgic favorite and dive right in. Furthermore, you have the option to combine them with the newer 2023 cast if you wish.

Fans of the 2016 edition have been very clear about wanting these classic suspects to return, especially since the introduction of the 2023 characters felt a bit too modern for some players. It's great to see Marmalade listening to the community and delivering this pack.

More New Content Arrives

In addition to the 2016 Suspects, Clue/Cluedo is introducing a brand new game mode. The Retro Rules Set mode takes you even further back in time, offering the chance to play by the original 1949 rules. The best part is that this mode is entirely free.

The Retro Rules Set revives classic mechanics that change movement and accusation rules. For instance, tokens begin on specific board spaces, and Miss Scarlet always takes the first turn. If she's not in play, Colonel Mustard goes first instead.

You cannot make an accusation just anywhere; you must be inside the relevant room. Additionally, Clue Cards are removed in this mode, and you cannot move through a square occupied by another player.
