Future Prospects for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Strong Signals for Potential DLC

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 maintains its phenomenal momentum, consistently breaking records and attracting new players. Amid this fervor, Lead Writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen engaged with the community on Instagram, fielding numerous questions. A recurring theme was the possibility of additional content, including glimpses into past expeditions.

Svedberg-Yen stopped short of announcing any concrete DLC but offered an encouraging outlook. She remarked, "We’ve always said that if players show a strong desire for more, we would love to deliver. Given the incredible response so far, I'd say the odds are in our favor."

She added that the team is still absorbing the game's reception, having launched less than a week ago. While official DLC plans are yet to be finalized, Sandfall Interactive has clearly expressed interest. As the highest-rated title of 2025 with a Metacritic score of 92, the future appears exceptionally promising for the French studio.

At Game8, we awarded Expedition 33 a score of 96/100 for its brilliant fusion of nostalgic JRPG elements and innovative mechanics.
