Cats Rule Sengoku: 'The Battle Cats' Celebrates 12 Years
The Battle Cats celebrates 12 years of quirky cat-fueled warfare! To mark this milestone, developer Ponos has launched a new Sengoku-era ad campaign, a blend of historical art and the game's signature offbeat humor.
Featuring ninja cats, fish cats, and even a "Gross Cat," the game's enduring appeal is undeniable. The new commercials transport players to the Sengoku period, seamlessly merging tactical strategy with the series' iconic cat food cans.
This cinematic campaign, a collaboration with R/GA, is titled "The Way of the Cat," and it's sure to entice both veteran players and newcomers alike. Ponos' COO and Managing Director, Seiichiro Sano, stated, “As we celebrate 12 years of The Battle Cats, we’re excited to challenge perceptions and showcase the game’s strategic depth. This collaboration with R/GA honours our heritage while inviting new players to experience the thrill of tactical gameplay in a fresh way.”
