Pokemon GO, the popular augmented reality game celebrating its ninth anniversary this summer, boasts a significant player base. Niantic, the game developer, announced on January 9th that several older Android models will lose compatibility. The first update, in March 2025, will affect some Android devices downloaded from the Samsung Galaxy store. Players affected by these changes are advised to save their login details. While they can regain access after upgrading to a compatible device, they will be unable to access their accounts, including any purchased Pokecoins, until the upgrade is complete.
