Atelier Resleriana Service Termination Announced After Just One Year

Atelier Resleriana Announces Upcoming Service Termination

Koei Tecmo has confirmed the imminent shutdown of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, just one year after its global launch. The service will end permanently on March 28th, with all in-game purchases discontinued starting January 27th. Players can look forward to final in-game events before servers go dark.

Why Is the Game Shutting Down?

The development team acknowledged they couldn't maintain their intended service quality standards. Despite continuous updates and event planning, they ultimately determined the title couldn't sustain continued operation. Players may still use existing Lodestar Gems but can no longer purchase additional ones.

A Challenging Lifecycle for the Mobile RPG

For many Atelier Resleriana players, this closure follows observable struggles within the game's ecosystem. The highly competitive gacha market presented significant challenges from launch, with several core issues preventing the title from gaining stronger traction:

  • Banner Rates: Player frustration around gacha mechanics and progression systems
  • Alchemy Mechanics: The signature crafting system didn't deliver the expected depth
  • Gameplay Experience: Solid but unremarkable turn-based combat compared to genre competitors

Community forums and social media have seen requests for an offline version, though this appears unlikely. Players are encouraged to enjoy the remaining months of service, while those seeking alternatives can explore our curated list of the best JRPGs currently available on Android.
