Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Free Content and Story Updates Planned for a Year

The excitement around Assassin’s Creed Shadows continues to build as Ubisoft unveils its year 1 post-launch update roadmap, promising a wealth of new content and story expansions. Released over a month ago, AC Shadows is set to receive ongoing enhancements that will keep players engaged and immersed in its world for months to come.

Year 1 Post-Launch Roadmap

Ubisoft announced their ambitious plans for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Twitter (X) on May 1, detailing a roadmap filled with exciting updates. Central to this roadmap are the new Story Drops, which are free content additions designed to enrich the gaming experience. These Story Drops will introduce new player abilities, new allies, and fresh world activities, while also providing deeper insights into the backstories of beloved characters. Each new piece of content is crafted to expand upon the main game, ensuring that players have a continually evolving narrative to explore.

In addition to the free Story Drops, Ubisoft is also gearing up for the release of their first expansion, The Claws of Awaji, slated to launch later this year. This expansion will take players to the new region of Awaji Island, accessible after the epilogue of the base game. The Claws of Awaji promises new enemies, additional abilities for both protagonists, and an exclusive new weapon for Naoe, adding even more depth to the gameplay.
