Android Open Beta Launches for Top-Down Action Roguelike

ChillyRoom's upcoming action roguelike, Shadow of the Depth, is currently in open beta on Android, offering a chance to experience the game and provide feedback without losing progress upon official release. No data wipe is planned, ensuring players retain their achievements.

Developed by the creators of successful titles like Soul Knight and Meow Hunter, Shadow of the Depth is slated for a December 2024 launch. The open beta, however, is currently limited to select regions.

Open Beta Availability:

The open beta is live in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, UK, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. Players in these regions can download the beta for free. A full release is anticipated later this year for other regions.

Open Beta Rewards:

Players who log in during the open beta (until December 5th) will receive 200 diamonds as a reward for their participation in testing.

Gameplay Overview:

Shadow of the Depth features classic action roguelike gameplay with a medieval setting. Players assume the role of Arthur, a blacksmith's son seeking revenge against monsters that destroyed his village. He's joined by swordsmen, hunters, and mages in their descent into a monster-infested abyss.

The game boasts randomized dungeons filled with enemies and traps, challenging bosses, and extensive character customization options with over 140 passive skills and a talent system. It offers a single-player experience with controller support.

Interested players can download the open beta or pre-register on the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our coverage of the fantasy turn-based RPG, Grimguard Tactics, also on Android.
