The Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Is Now Available for Just $2,399.99

Starting today, Dell is offering the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 shipped. This is one of the most competitive prices available for an RTX 5080 equipped prebuilt system, especially considering the steady price increases from other brands since the RTX 50 series launch in January. The only other prebuilt option at Dell with an RTX 5080 GPU is priced over $4,000. If you're considering a DIY build, finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU can be challenging and costly, often matching the price of this entire system.

$2,399.99 at Alienware

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU and a GeForce RTX 5080 GPU. It comes with 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU features a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, 20 cores, and a 30MB cache. It's cooled efficiently by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is supported by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is part of the new Blackwell graphics cards, which are currently in high demand and difficult to find. In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not be a significant upgrade – it doesn’t offer a substantial performance lead over the RTX 4080, although the extra frames from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do enhance gameplay in supported titles. However, for gamers with older graphics cards looking for a notable performance boost, the RTX 5080 is a compelling choice, especially if you're keen on Nvidia’s AI features."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial preorders for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of availability. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to be released, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Similarly, prebuilt gaming PCs featuring these new GPUs are either sold out, have increased in price, or are facing extended delivery delays.
