"Morikomori Life: New Social, Rural Sim with Ghibli Art"

Morikomori Life has officially launched on Android and iOS platforms, though exclusively in Japan. This cozy farm simulation game is being published by Realfun Studio this time around. Interestingly, the game was previously released in China under Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games. However, the Chinese version was removed approximately a year ago.

The Enchanting World of Rural Farm Life

One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals. The development team has crafted an atmosphere reminiscent of Studio Ghibli’s iconic animations, bringing warmth and charm to the game world. Unlike modern AI-generated art, these visuals are crafted with care, making each scene feel like it belongs in a classic animated film.

Players step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese woman who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother urging her to return to her hometown. Traveling to Komori, the village of her childhood, players embark on a journey to rediscover the beauty of a tranquil life. The 3D toon-shaded graphics enhance the Japanese countryside’s natural charm, creating a sense of authenticity and nostalgia.

Don’t just take our word for it—watch the official trailers below to experience the game’s captivating visuals firsthand.

A Life of Leisure and Exploration

At its core, Morikomori Life revolves around slice-of-life activities. Players engage in farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing their dream home. Chopping wood, mining ores, and gathering rare materials are just some of the tasks available in the expansive open world.

As resources accumulate, players gain access to new upgrades and opportunities to expand their living space. Customizing Kaon’s appearance to match your personal style is encouraged, and meeting friendly villagers adds depth to the gameplay. Preparing delicious meals from freshly gathered ingredients and assisting neighbors with various tasks bring a sense of purpose to daily life.

The game also offers extensive character customization options, allowing players to express themselves creatively. With an open-world environment filled with hidden treasures and delightful surprises, every moment feels uniquely rewarding.

Currently available on Android in Japan, interested players can download it via the Google Play Store. No official announcement regarding a global release has been made yet.
