Remedy Entertainment has exciting news for fans, announcing that FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025. This new title is a session-based, multiplayer PvE experience set in the immersive universe of Control. Players can look forward to tackling diverse challenges through replayable missions called Jobs, each featuring unique environments and objectives that demand teamwork and adaptability.

Set to be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, FBC: Firebreak will be priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Gamers can enjoy it from day one on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). Notably, this marks Remedy’s first venture into self-publishing.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy has introduced the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This edition comes packed with exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs, such as “The Firestarter” and “The Pencil Pusher” voice packs, along with the Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision, and a Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin. It also includes the Golden Firebreak Spray and the Classified Requisition: “Firestarter,” offering 36 unlockable cosmetic items. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for an additional $10 / €10 / £7.

The game introduces a new feature called Requisitions, a system that rewards players with gear and cosmetics simply by playing. Requisitions encompass a variety of items including weapons, equipment, armor, and sprays, all unlockable using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no time-limited windows or rotating stores; any item added to the game remains permanently available. For those seeking further customization, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items, available for purchase with real money, ensuring they have no impact on gameplay and remain accessible indefinitely.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak post-launch, with plans to introduce two new Jobs in 2025 and more updates in 2026. All post-launch content, including Jobs, will be free to all players. While players have the option to purchase cosmetics, Remedy emphasizes that these items will not affect gameplay and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-in incentives.

Amidst a bustling lineup of projects, Remedy is not only focusing on FBC: Firebreak but also developing Control 2 and remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2. This promises an exciting future for fans of Remedy’s unique storytelling and gameplay.
