Diablo 4 Infinite Damage Build Makes Servers Lag

by Oliver Jun 13,2025

Diablo 4 players have uncovered a powerful infinite damage build that not only deals massive amounts of damage but also causes noticeable server lag. This exploit has sparked discussions among the community, especially in light of the game’s latest season and its new boss powers. Additionally, fans are expressing concerns over the pricing model of the recently launched Berserk collaboration event.

Diablo 4 Latest Updates

Infinite Damage Build Triggers Server Lag

The newest season in Diablo 4 introduces seasonal boss powers that, when combined effectively, can create an infinite damage loop. A video posted by YouTuber Macrobioboi on May 9 demonstrates how this build works using a specific combination of boss powers and a Legendary Aspect to deal devastating damage while triggering performance issues on servers.

To pull off this build, players must equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect. This aspect inflicts enemies with the Vulnerable status effect, which increases incoming damage. More importantly, Vampiric Curse ensures that Vulnerable remains active until the enemy dies.

When paired with Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power—which normally stuns enemies and removes the Vulnerable debuff—the interaction breaks down due to Vampiric Curse. As a result, the stun effect loops continuously without ever removing Vulnerable.

To finalize the build, players add Varshan's Life Steal boss power into the mix. Each time a boss ability is triggered, it delivers a significant amount of damage. When all these mechanics combine, the game engine processes a large number of overlapping effects simultaneously, leading to severe server-side lag.

As shown in a YouTube video by wudijo, the screen becomes overwhelmed with abilities and effects, leaving enemies perpetually stunned. He noted, “There are a lot of calculations going on—it's very understandable that this is a laggy build.”

So far, Blizzard Entertainment has not addressed this resource-heavy build, meaning players can still experiment with it—though at the cost of smoother gameplay performance.

Fans Concerned Over Berserk Collaboration Pricing

Alongside the gameplay exploits, Diablo 4 has launched a high-profile collaboration with the iconic manga series *Berserk*. While the crossover brings visually striking cosmetics and themed items, many fans are questioning the steep price tags associated with them.

Players can earn Behelits through regular gameplay and use them to unlock free items via the Berserk Reliquary system. Some of the available free cosmetics include:

  • Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
  • Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
  • Brand of Sacrifice Marking
  • Foretold Eclipse Headstone
  • Od of the Berserker Emblem

However, the most appealing content lies within the premium bundles, which require spending Diablo 4’s in-game currency, Platinum. These sets include exclusive armor and skins inspired by *Berserk*, such as:

  • The Berserker Armor (Barbarian) – 2,800 Platinum
  • The Hawk of Light (Rogue) – 2,800 Platinum
  • The Struggler (Rogue) – 2,800 Platinum
  • The Skull Knight (Necromancer) – 2,800 Platinum
  • The Schnoz (Pet Bundle) – 2,800 Platinum
  • Warhorse of the Hawk (Mount and Mount Armor) – 2,500 Platinum

Each premium skin costs approximately $28—nearly half the price of the base game. Purchasing all available sets totals around $150 or 15,000 Platinum, though a bundle offer includes 3,500 bonus Platinum for free.

While the pricing strategy mirrors previous collaborations like the World of Warcraft tie-in, it has raised concerns about the long-term monetization direction of Diablo 4. Many players feel hesitant to support future IP crossovers if they continue demanding such high financial commitments.

Despite the impressive visual quality of the *Berserk* sets, the high cost remains a sticking point for many fans. Diablo IV is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned for more updates on Diablo 4 and future collaborations.
