Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Mobile RPG Beta Test Announced

Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. The game, set during the show's fourth season, promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.

Key features revealed include class-based progression with "fully manual" controls, allowing players to command characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and even Drogon. The game will also introduce an original storyline centered around a new character from House Tyrell in the North.

The closed beta test will run from January 16th to 22nd, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions. This provides fans an early look before the full release later this year. Registration will be available via the game's official website.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was initially announced in November 2024 and further highlighted at The Game Awards. Developed by Netmarble (creators of Marvel Future Fight and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds), the game aims for "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat. Drawing on the rich lore and characters established by George R.R. Martin and the HBO series, Kingsroad is poised to become a standout mobile title with a compelling story.

The over-one-minute trailer showcases the class system and detailed combat. Character designs draw inspiration from Wildlings, Dothraki, and the Faceless Men.
