Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your adventure kicks off in the heart of town, right across from the Gun Store and Hospital, and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and arming yourself. I recommend picking up a Rifle—it's only $75 and packs enough punch to fend off most enemies for a while. Don't forget to stock up on coal to fuel your boat, as it runs on an old-school engine.

The next town is 10,000 meters away, so just get the boat moving and you'll be on your way. While you can stop to take out and loot Zombies and Drowned, it's not always worth it due to the limited valuables in the houses. To restart the ship, simply add more coal. Ignore the worm on the right side—it's harmless. Hold onto your loot until the second safe zone to sell, but watch out for Big Foot and Zombie mobs along the river.

After reaching the second safe zone/town, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. It's best to clear them out if you're with friends, but otherwise, it's not worth the time due to scattered spawn points. At around 12,000 meters, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned but also stocked with Shotgun ammo and other valuable loot. Use these resources wisely.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
By now, you're familiar with the core gameplay: kill, loot, repeat, and hope the enemy suffers defeat. To excel, focus on efficiency by using the boat as your primary inventory. Clear your bag when you return to the boat to save time and space.

A key strategy I found helpful is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. Though it's tempting to rush out of those backwater towns, efficient loot stacking can significantly boost your progress. Running low on fuel? Toss a few Zombies into the incinerator to get back on track.

Another useful tip is to be cautious in Sheriff's offices. They often host a higher concentration of mobs, but also offer substantial rewards in terms of weapons and ammo. I managed to keep my shotgun stocked for a long time by having a teammate clear the ground floor as we explored each town.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000 meters. It's still under construction, making it vulnerable to ambushes. I recommend tackling this with at least three others, ideally a full team of five. Be efficient when picking up loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000 meters. They're incredibly tough and require a lot of ammo to take down safely. Don't linger and plan your stops carefully—loot isn't everything.
The town at 50,000 meters is one of my favorite farming spots, with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. It's perfect for gathering corpses for fuel, so coordinate with your team to prepare the bodies for loading as quickly as possible.

As you approach the final safe zone, sell all your gear and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't go easy on the Zombies and Drowned; you'll need a stash of at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during this crucial stretch. At around 100,000 meters, you'll hit open waters and be ready to confront the Kraken. The sign of its approach is the darkening skies.

When the Kraken emerges, everyone must quickly choose a tentacle to attack. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not properly repelled. With five players, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your assigned tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, which deals area-of-effect damage. The Kraken telegraphs this move by winding back its tentacle and creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally, as some damage is unavoidable.

Finally, beware of the Roar AoE, which causes minor damage but is unblockable and seems to give the Kraken a slight damage buff. You'll recognize it by the white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.

As you can see, it's less daunting than it appears. That wraps up my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To speed through the boss fight even faster, consider using one of our Dead Sails codes. Good luck, and may you have smooth sailing!
