Universe for Sale Is a New Visual Novel Set in a Bizarre Bazaar on Planet Jupiter

Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure game, Universe for Sale, is now available. Following successful releases like The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti earlier this year, Akupara Games delivers another intriguing title.

Is the Universe Actually for Sale?

The game unfolds on a Jupiter space station, a bizarre marketplace shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprising wit work the docks, and cultists barter flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unusual ability to create universes from her hand.

The game begins in a mining colony's shantytown, where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Exploring the ramshackle colony, you discover Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop, and a mystery that unfolds as you switch between Lila's and the Master's perspectives.

Playing as Lila involves a mini-game of universe creation, mixing ingredients to generate visually stunning worlds. As the Master, you delve into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounter the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative develops as you progress, uncovering the underlying mystery. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the world is richly detailed, inviting exploration.
