UPDATE (1/19/25): TikTok is back online in the U.S. after a brief outage. The company announced on X/Twitter that service is being restored in collaboration with its service providers. They expressed gratitude to President Trump for providing assurances to these providers, preventing penalties for serving TikTok's 170+ million American users and supporting 7+ million small businesses. TikTok stated this decision upholds the First Amendment and opposes arbitrary censorship, and they intend to collaborate with President Trump on a long-term solution to maintain their U.S. presence.
