Pokémon Go Unveils Dynamax Update for Max Out Season

Get Ready for Dynamax Pokémon in Pokémon GO's Max Out Season!

Pokémon GO is introducing Dynamax Pokémon as part of its upcoming Max Out season, bringing a thrilling new dimension to gameplay. This exciting addition will run from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. local time to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time.

Dynamax Debut: The Max Out season kicks off with 1-star Max Battles featuring Dynamax Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo. Trainers can battle and catch these Dynamax Pokémon, including their evolved forms, with a chance to encounter Shiny versions!

Beyond battling, the event includes special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases, offering opportunities to win rewards by showcasing event-themed Pokémon.

A Seasonal Special Research story will also be available, focusing on Max Battles and rewarding players with Max Particles, a new avatar item, and other goodies. This Special Research will be accessible from September 3rd, 10:00 a.m. local time to December 3rd, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time.

Max Particle Pack and Power Spots: A Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available for $7.99 on the official Pokémon GO web store starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT. These particles are crucial for Dynamax battles. Rumors also point towards the introduction of Power Spots next month – key locations for Max Battles and Max Particle collection.

Mega Evolution and Gigantamax Possibilities: While some Dynamax Pokémon will also be capable of Mega Evolution (as revealed by Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla), the addition of Gigantamax Pokémon remains unconfirmed, though it was hinted at during Pokémon Worlds.
