Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Gold & Silver with a new line of limited-edition merchandise! Launching November 23rd, 2024, at Pokémon Centers across Japan, this collection features a diverse range of items.

The Pokémon Company has announced a celebratory merchandise line for the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver. The collection boasts a variety of items, from home goods to stylish apparel, all themed around the iconic games. While currently only available at Pokémon Centers in Japan, the company hasn't ruled out future distribution at other retailers.

Pre-orders begin November 21st, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. JST via Pokémon Center Online and Amazon Japan.

Prices range from ¥495 (approx. $4 USD) to ¥22,000 (approx. $143 USD). Highlights include:

  • Sukajan jackets (¥22,000): Featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia designs.
  • Day bags (¥12,100)
  • 2-piece plate sets (¥1,650)

Originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold and Silver revolutionized the Pokémon world with innovative features. These included an in-game clock affecting Pokémon appearances and events, and the introduction of 100 new Pokémon (Gen 2), such as Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. The games received a highly acclaimed remake, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, for the Nintendo DS in 2009.
