NetEase Games has unveiled details for Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, titled "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces a host of exciting changes, including a new villain, roster additions, map expansions, and significant balance adjustments.

Key Features of Season 1:

• Dracula, the Main Villain: Season 1 will pit players against the iconic Dracula as the primary antagonist.

• The Fantastic Four Join the Fray: The entire Fantastic Four—Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman initially, followed by Human Torch and The Thing within six to seven weeks—will be added to the playable roster.

• New Maps and Game Mode: Three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match," will enhance gameplay variety.

• Battle Pass with Rewarding Content: A battle pass costing 990 Lattice (approximately $10) offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion.

Balance Changes:

The developer update also highlighted substantial balance adjustments:

• Nerfs: Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, will receive nerfs to reduce their dominance.

• Buffs: To improve the viability of mobility-focused Vanguards, Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to enhance their combat effectiveness. Wolverine, Storm, and Cloak and Dagger will also receive buffs to encourage diverse strategic approaches.

• Jeff the Land Shark Adjustments: Changes are planned for Jeff the Land Shark to better align his early warning indicators with his ultimate ability's hitbox. While his ultimate's power level has been a point of discussion, no major changes to it have been announced.
