Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch

Insomniac Games founder and retiring president Ted Price recently revealed in an interview with Kinda Funny Games that a Resistance 4 pitch was developed but ultimately never greenlit. While Price described the concept as "wonderful," he cited timing and market opportunity as factors preventing its production.

PlayHe expressed the team's enthusiasm for continuing the Resistance storyline, highlighting the series' compelling alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future narrative possibilities.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, was developed by Insomniac Games for the PlayStation 3. Set in an alternate 1951 where aliens invade the UK, the games concluded before Insomniac shifted focus to titles like Marvel's Spider-Man and newer Ratchet & Clank installments.

Price's retirement from Insomniac Games after 30 years was announced earlier this year. Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang have been named as his successors as Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's latest release is Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (recently released on PC), with Marvel's Wolverine slated as their next project.
