Indy Update Enhances Gameplay with Crucial Fixes, DLSS 4 Boost

by Benjamin Feb 20,2025

Bethesda's upcoming Update 3 for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is slated for release next week, bringing a host of improvements and fixes. A preview tweet highlighted the inclusion of Nvidia DLSS 4, featuring Multi-Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction.

While complete patch notes are pending, the update is anticipated to address several game-breaking bugs that have plagued the title since its December launch. Bethesda previously indicated February's update would introduce enhanced graphics options and resolve issues preventing some players from completing the game and navigating certain environments in Sukhothai (vine climbing and squeezing through walls). The extent to which these specific problems are addressed remains to be seen.

Initially released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has already attracted 4 million players. The MachineGames title has received widespread critical acclaim and multiple awards, including three D.I.C.E. Awards. A PlayStation 5 version is planned for this spring.

Actor Harrison Ford recently commented on Troy Baker's portrayal of Indiana Jones, stating that Baker's performance demonstrates that "you don't need artificial intelligence to steal my soul." In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Ford expressed his satisfaction with Baker's work, emphasizing the actor's talent and the unnecessary use of AI. He lauded Baker's performance as "brilliant."
