Google-Friendly Mystery: "Darkside Detective" and "A Fumble in the Dark" Unveiled

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing several titles recently. Following their deck-building game, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).

Exploring the World of The Darkside Detective

The game unfolds on a misty, ominous night in Twin Lakes, a town where the unusual, supernatural, and downright absurd are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, the endearingly clumsy Officer Patrick Dooley.

Together, they form the Darkside Division, a perpetually underfunded unit of the Twin Lakes Police Department. You'll solve nine engaging cases, delving into the hilariously bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures present a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel puzzles and monstrous tentacles to uncovering carnival secrets and battling mafia zombies. See the trailer below for a glimpse of the action!

The game is a delightful homage to pop culture, referencing classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone are intriguing: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's remarkable blend of humor and pixel art is a highlight. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. A Fumble in the Dark can be played independently of the prequel, also available on Google Play.
