Tomnoki Studio's Sphere Defense is a new tower defense game for Android, drawing inspiration from the timeless geoDefense by David Whatley. The developer, a fan of the original, aimed to recreate its elegantly simple yet challenging gameplay.

The Core Concept:

Earth, or "The Sphere," faces imminent destruction from alien invaders. Humanity, forced underground, has developed new technology to fight back. You lead the counter-offensive, deploying units and defending the planet.

Gameplay:

Sphere Defense offers a classic tower defense experience. Players strategically place units, each with unique strengths, to repel waves of enemies. Successful engagements provide resources for upgrading and expanding your arsenal. Higher difficulty levels demand more sophisticated tactics.

Difficulty and Length:

Three difficulty levels—easy, normal, and hard—each feature 10 stages, with each stage lasting 5 to 15 minutes.

Sphere Defense features seven distinct unit types, offering strategic depth through varied combinations. These include:

• Attack Units: Standard Attack Turret (single-target), Area Attack Turret (area-of-effect), and Piercing Attack Turret (for dense enemy formations).
• Support Units: Cooling Turret and Incendiary Turret, enhancing attack unit effectiveness.
• Support Attack Units: Fixed-Point Attack Unit (precise missile strikes) and Linear Attack Unit (satellite laser attacks).
