Genshin Impact Teases Iansan, Unveils Varesa in 5.5 Update

Genshin Impact 5.5 Update: Varesa and Iansan Join the Roster!

miHoYo (HoYoverse) has officially unveiled two new characters joining the Genshin Impact roster in update 5.5, though leaks had already hinted at their arrival.

First up is Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user. Described as easygoing and carefree, Varesa's playful nature belies her formidable combat prowess. As one character puts it: "No one matches her easygoing, carefree nature... But beware! If you ever fight Abyss monsters with her, the moment she gets into the zone, she turns into an unstoppable force!"

Joining Varesa is Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user. Previously an NPC, Iansan is now a playable character known as Natlan's top trainer. Varesa herself speaks highly of her mentor: "Iansan is Natlan’s top trainer and the person I admire the most! People say I’m talented, but without her training, that talent would have gone to waste. Don’t worry if you’re not used to working out—Coach Iansan knows how to train anyone!"
