New EA Sports UFC 5 Update Adds Undefeated Fighter

EA Sports UFC 5 receives a significant update on January 9th, launching at 1 PM ET for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This patch (1.18) introduces undefeated fighter Azamat Murzakanov and addresses several bugs.

EA Vancouver, the game's developer, continues to enhance UFC 5, addressing earlier player concerns regarding the initial roster. The addition of Murzakanov, boasting impressive stats (97 power punch, 95 accuracy, 94 ground striking), brings the game closer to parity with current UFC rankings. The update also includes three new fighter alter egos, though their identities remain undisclosed.

Beyond the new fighter and alter egos, patch 1.18 includes gameplay adjustments (reducing the muscle modifier's stamina cost) and bug fixes. These fixes encompass translation errors, a Ranked Championship issue ("Stand and Bang"), and updated fighter portraits.

This update coincides with the January 14th addition of EA Sports UFC 5 to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play. Note that this is an Ultimate tier benefit, not available on the standard tier.

General:

• New Fighters: Azamat Murzakanov, Three new Alter Egos
• Enhanced "More Offers" Store: Sorting now available by release series (Pride, Prime, Champion, etc.)
• New cosmetic rewards added.

Gameplay:

• Muscle modifier stamina cost reduced from x3.125 to 2.5.

Bug Fixes:

• Corrected incorrect translations in multiple languages.
• Resolved a Ranked Championship ("Stand and Bang") issue where the match result wasn't displayed.
• Updated Stipe and Jones portraits in AE UFC 309 to reflect their updated gloves.
