During the recent Switch 2 Direct presentation, the trailer for *The Duskbloods* ended with a striking visual: a winged rat adorned with glowing glyphs staring directly into the camera. In an interview with Nintendo, director Hidetaka Miyazaki confirmed that this character functions similarly to the iconic Fire Keepers from the *Dark Souls* series. "I suppose you could say we tried doing something a little Nintendo-esque in the spirit of the partnership."
