DLSS 4 MFG Support Extended to Diverse Games
Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025
Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote unveiled the RTX 50 series GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation. This new feature promises significant FPS boosts, initially supported by 75 games. While initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, some DLSS 4 enhancements will also be available to older RTX 40 series cards via future driver updates.
The RTX 50 series boasts impressive performance gains. Nvidia demonstrated Cyberpunk 2077 running at over 236 FPS on the RTX 5090 with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation enabled, a stark contrast to sub-30 FPS with these features disabled. The RTX 5090, the flagship model, will retail for $1,999 with 32GB of GDDR7 memory. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549).

While Nvidia didn't specify a precise January release date for the RTX 50 series, future driver updates will bring enhanced DLSS features (Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA) to existing RTX 40 series cards. Furthermore, upcoming titles like Doom: The Dark Ages will also leverage Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction upon release.
