Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 Revived for PC by GOG

by Samuel Feb 19,2025

GOG resurrects the cult classic survival horror games, Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2, with DRM-free PC re-releases. Both PlayStation titles are now available on GOG's platform as part of their Preservation Program, retaining their original content.

Released in 1999 and 2000 respectively, these titles represent a significant piece of gaming history. While Dino Crisis 3 debuted on the original Xbox in 2003, Capcom hasn't released a new entry since, despite fan demand for a remake or sequel. The release of Exoprimal in 2022, and comments from creator Shinji Mikami, seemingly cemented the franchise's apparent demise.

PlayGOG's contribution is particularly valuable, given the challenges of running these older games on modern systems. The company highlights the preservation effort, stating that Regina's iconic line, "You're extinct!", no longer applies to the games themselves.

Enhanced Dino Crisis 2 Features on GOG:
