Diablo 4: Uncover Lost Power at Forgotten Altars
Uncover the Secrets of Diablo 4's Forgotten Altars and Lost Powers
The Season of the Maelstrom introduces Witchcraft Powers in Diablo 4, categorized into Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay. Unlocking these potent abilities requires favor with The Coven, earned by completing quests and gathering Restless Rot. This allows you to upgrade Altars near the Tree of Whispers. However, beyond the main Altars lie the elusive Forgotten Altars, granting powerful Lost Powers.
Unlike their counterparts, Forgotten Altars appear randomly within Sanctuary's dungeons. While the season's questline will lead you through numerous dungeons, finding them may require additional exploration. The reward, however, is well worth the effort, as Lost Powers are among the game's most formidable abilities.
All Lost Powers in Diablo 4
Diligent players who locate all Forgotten Altars will be handsomely rewarded. Below is a list of the Lost Powers and their effects:
Name | Power |
Breath of the Coven | Applying a Witchcraft Effect (Eldritch, Psyche, or Growth & Decay) that deals damage or applies Crowd Control increases Attack Speed by X for 10 seconds, stacking once per unique effect. At Rank 8: Gain 40% Lucky Hit chance while bonuses from Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay are active. |
Hex Specialization | Increases the potency of Hex Effects by X. At Rank 10: Increases Critical Strike Chance by 10% against Hexed enemies. |
Aura Specialization | Increases the size of Aura Effects by X. At Rank 10: Increases Critical Strike Damage by 50% against enemies within Aura Effects. |
Piranhado | Afflicting an enemy with both a Hex and an Aura Effect summons a Piranhado, pulling enemies in and dealing X Physical damage over 12 seconds (once every 20 seconds). At Rank 5: Piranhado actively seeks nearby enemies. |
Remember, once acquired, Witchcraft Powers can be upgraded using Restless Rot from your inventory. Complete as many quests as possible to maximize your Rot supply.
