A New Evil Ending for Baldur's Gate 3

Larian Studios recently unveiled a 52-second cinematic teaser on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing this dark new ending. The focus is on the Dark Urge, highlighting the sinister ramifications of embracing evil.

The preview depicts the grim fate of the Dark Urge's companions. They witness their leader succumb to Bhaal's influence, seizing control of the Netherbrain. The Dark Urge subsequently uses mind control to force their companions to their deaths, setting the stage for a reign of terror. A chilling voiceover declares, "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's," before the Dark Urge suffers a similar fate.

This is just one of several new evil endings slated for Patch 7. Larian previously promised improved evil endings in their April community update, offering even darker conclusions for sinister playthroughs. Importantly, these endings aren't exclusive to Dark Urge characters. Previously teased endings included the Dark Urge wading through a sea of blood and corpses, and a town falling into blissful oblivion under the True Absolute's sway.

What Else is in Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7?

Patch 7 is a massive update, brimming with new content and enhancements. In addition to the new evil endings, expect a dynamic split-screen mode for co-op play, enhanced Honour Mode challenges, and a highly anticipated modding toolkit.

Larian Studios has confirmed that this isn't the end for Baldur's Gate 3. Future plans include crossplay and photo mode, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing improvements based on player feedback.

Currently in closed beta, Patch 7 is scheduled for release in September. While the exact date remains unannounced, players can register on the Steam store page for a chance to participate in the early access.
